WHAT IS OMFISH
Omfish is less of an artistic pseudonym and more of an ethos to carry through life. Om; the universal sound, the sound of creation and everything within it, and I, just a small fish just swimming through the vastness of the void.
My art aims to not only explore all of the depths and crevices of my subconscious mind but also to explore the deeper, darker crevices of humanity; the forgotten, overlooked, unconventional and atypical. My art aims to put a magnifying glass to the aspects of human nature we attempt to hide, the harsh realities we try to desperately to bury deep within our subconscious. My work points to the beauty in the darker parts; new life through decomposition, turning trash into artwork, turning mental health struggles into introspective epiphanies, focusing on the use of art making as a therapeutic process for self and society.

Abstract
The abstract "Trash Paintings" are meant to critique the endless productions of trash as a byproduct of capitalism. In the wake of our ever-hungry compulsion toward hyper-consumerism, what will be the legacy we leave behind besides the towering pyramids of garbage and single use plastics? All hail the Palaces of Polyethylene and Cathedrals of Polystyrene.
